Information aimed at consumers and non-scientists

When using the Internet to carry out your research, you need to consider whether the information you are using is reliable. A few pointers on how to judge reliability can be found here.

So much information is available from food science related websites that it can be very time consuming to keep up to date with changes. RSS Feeds allow information to be delivered to you automatically and are gaining in popularity. These can be a useful tool in keeping up to date. There is a useful background article on RSS on Wikipedia. The IFIS site Food Science Central has more information on its own RSS feeds.

All of these links are checked on a regular basis but if you do find that any of them are inactive/incorrect please let us know by sending an email to ifis@ifis.org
